Mechanical Technology offered at various institutes of ICTE, has been designed to teach students to apply knowledge of science, workshop practice and Engineering Drawing and Graphics & advances.
In the 1st year, basic subjects' teaching i.e. fundamentals of technology accompanied by allied (i-e Workshop Practice & Drawing) and related studies (Applied Maths., Chemistry, Physics etc.) are taught.
2nd year involves the training in broader field with medium complexity level from Metallurgy, further raising awareness regarding Metrology and Applied Electricity and Electronics.
In the final year, students will be taught how to analyze multifarious technology glitches in more practical way by carrying out Industrial Planning and Production Methods and studying advanced level subjects like Complex Workshop Practice , CAD/CAM , CNC Machines etc.

Before materials are ready for public use, they must be assessed for quality. In this course, students test the three factors that industrial engineers inspect, which are calibration, statistical control, and dimension. Students gain experience inspecting the materials in the lab portion of the class, after becoming thoroughly familiar with what each factor means and how it's tested.
The Mechanical Technology program introduces the student to the principles, materials and equipment of mechanical technology. Emphasis is placed on computer-aided drafting/design (CAD) and an understanding of basic machine components. Graduates of the program should find employment as CAD operators, engineering assistants. technicians and technical representatives.
This course general introduction to engineering materials used in design and manufacturing. Topics include mechanical, physical, and chemical properties of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, ceramics, glass, and composites. The course will cover material sources, formation and production. Emphasis is on material selection for mechanical design purposes based on material properties and manufacturability. The course will cover different aspects of material testing and field trips to local material testing labs as permitted.
The goal of the Mechanical Engineering Technology major is to provide students with a well-rounded, fundamental and application-oriented education focused on the knowledge of existing and new developments in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Graduates of the baccalaureate degree will develop the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills necessary for appropriate careers in local and national industries.
