Quantity surveyors specialize in survey operations, mastering the methods for measuring items and quantities of earthwork specifically for road construction.

In this course you will learn about general principles of quantity and cost in civil works. You will also learn relevant terminologies, how to record quantities of items from given drawings, describe components of buildings and engineering structures, and describe standard specifications of each item of works. You will also be taught how to prepare material statements and analyses of rates for major item of works, explain how to determine quantity of earthwork for road construction, and how to execute the plan.
