Solar panels are those devices which are used to absorb the sun's rays and convert them into electricity or heat. Description: A solar panel is actually a collection of solar (or photovoltaic) cells, which can be used to generate electricity through photovoltaic effect.Solar system comprises of solar panels, wiring, switchboards, storage unit (electricity), converters, stabilizers, adapters etc. In order to reap the benefits of this system, it becomes very important to install and configure it correctly.
Installing a photovoltaic system is not an easy task. One such system consists of many components such as panels, wire, meters, switches etc. For laymen, it is difficult to install such a system correctly.
This is where a trained solar panel installation technician comes handy. He/she is trained in various aspect of installing and configuring photovoltaic system.Our Solar Energy Technician Program prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of engineers and other professionals engaged in developing solar-powered energy systems. Course includes instruction in solar energy principles, energy storage and transfer technologies, testing and inspection procedures, system maintenance procedures, and report preparation.

Other topics include site analysis, system sizing, array configuration, and electricity basics; electrical design characteristics such as wiring, overcurrent protection, and grounding; a detailed look at module and inverter specifications and characteristics; mounting methods for various roof structures and ground mounts; and an introduction to safety, construction management, commissioning and more.
Training Outcome
After completing this course, the pass out will be able to perform the following tasks:

2.Use of tools and test equipment required for repair and maintenance of Solar Panels & UPS.
3.Cable selection & Installation For UPS & Solar Panel

6.House wiring with different kinds of circuits.
7.On and Off grid maintained.
8.Installation of Volt, ampere, energy & watt meters and distribution boards.
9.To Work as a Service Provider
