Entry Requirements:
The OTHM Level 3 Technical Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is open to learners aged 16 and above. While there are no formal entry requirements, learners should possess the language proficiency to understand and articulate the concepts covered in the syllabus. Some prior knowledge of health and safety in the workplace would be beneficial.

Equivalences:
OTHM Level 3 qualifications are academically equivalent to GCE AS/A Level of study, assessing practical knowledge, skills, capabilities, and competences.

Qualification Structure:
The OTHM Level 3 Technical Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety consists of 3 mandatory units, totaling 34 credits, 340 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT), and 220 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for completion:
• Health and Safety Principles in the Working Environment (10 credits)
• Maintaining a Healthy and Safe Working Environment (14 credits)
• Principles of Risk and Incident Management in the Working Environment (10 credits)

Duration and Delivery:
The qualification is delivered through approved centers via face-to-face lectures, tutorials, seminars, distance, or online methods.
Assessment and Verification:
All units are internally assessed by the center and externally verified by OTHM, based on specified learning outcomes.

Progression:
Learners have the opportunity to progress to the OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management with an appropriate qualification. They can further advance to an MSc with UK universities and London Graduate School, a sister company of OTHM.
