In commerce, supply chain management (SCM), the management of the flow of goods and services,

involves the movement and storage of raw materials, of work-in-process inventory, and of

to develop knowledge of system support planning, ensure that logistics support is effectively

integrated into the system from a full lifecycle perspective, and understand the implications

of an extended supply chain. The content covers the functions of various logistics elements,

logistics engineering and management, system design for supportability, through to the

continuous assessment of the overall effectiveness of support over the entire system life

cycle. It also includes supply chain integration, the flow of information, materials,

services, personnel and money along the supply chain, technology coordination between

multiple vendors, building trust,
enterprise architecture in the supply chain, and minimizing waste and transactions .
